Joseph G. Rosenstein is the author of Siddur Eit Ratzon and Machzor Eit Ratzon, both of which are available at newsiddur.org – and of Problem Solving and Reasoning with Discrete Mathematics, which is available at new-math-text.com. He is a Distinguished Professor of Mathematics Emeritus at Rutgers University, where he taught mathematics for 48 years before retiring in 2017.
He wrote the prayer books after teaching many courses on Judaism and prayer for adults and learning about the obstacles to prayer that they had encountered. He wrote the math textbook after teaching many institutes for teachers of mathematics and learning about the obstacles that they and their students had to learning mathematics.
He and his wife Judy have five daughters, five sons-in-law, eleven grandchildren, and two dogs.
